I acknowledge that every student is different and cater for their abilities. I often use visual tools as an aid to teach course content. As such I have prepared assessment rubrics and standards and have successfully linked them with my created units, lessons and worksheets within these subject areas. In my classroom I encourage student participation and involvement in all activities. I promote classroom discussion when learning scientific concepts. I ensure students have the opportunities to learn and develop skills in a variety of ways, including through group activities and online assessments. I provide my students with supervision at all times, act with courtesy and compassion and am an advocate syatement all learners.
As a Science teacher I will be able to incorporate elements of safety and mental health into the delivery of my courses. Safety can be promoted when educating students how handle various hazardous chemical substances and mental health can be discussed when learning about the brain. I interactively draw diagrams and explain them on the projector via a tablet.
I use ICT programs to display and manipulate 3D chemical molecules. Every decision I make is based on respect and integrity. I actively seek new ideas, information and resources to further develop my skills.
